About rayquizz
rayquizz is a free, fan-made Pokémon guessing game: a daily challenge, unlimited play, silhouette mode, and a dozen other ways to test how well you know your Pokémon.
It's a fast, offline-capable web app and is completely free to play. There are no accounts and nothing to install.
And remember: every great journey starts in a small, quiet town.
Made for the handheld generation
rayquizz grew out of a simple idea: that guessing a Pokémon should feel like the games it comes from. The look borrows from the handheld eras, and you can dress the whole app as a Game Boy, a DS, a 3DS, or a modern console, each with its own type of screen, font, and palette. The point was never pixel-art nostalgia for its own sake. It was to make a daily puzzle that a long-time fan finds satisfying and a newcomer finds welcoming, without ever talking down to either.
Faithful to the era you choose
Most of the effort under the surface goes into getting the details right. Because the games have quietly rewritten types and evolution lines over the years, rayquizz lets you pick a generation range and then judges every Pokémon by the rules of that time. Clefairy reads as a Normal type before Generation 6, the Magnemite line loses its Steel typing in the earliest era, and baby Pokémon that arrived later simply are not counted yet. It is a small kind of accuracy that most sites skip, and it is the thing that makes the guessing feel fair.
