Deduce a Pokémon from its own Pokédex entry while its name sits blacked out inside the text.

How Dexle works

You are shown a genuine Pokédex flavor entry with every mention of the creature's name replaced by solid blocks, and you name the species from the description alone. The entry starts as a single sentence, and each of your five guesses that misses uncovers one more sentence of the same passage, so a stubborn round gradually hands you the fuller lore. Guesses you have already spent are listed so repeats never cost you, and when the round ends the name snaps back into the text beside the full artwork. A shared daily target locks after one attempt, while unlimited draws a new entry each time.

Strategy

Mine the first sentence for hard anchors before spending a guess. Dex entries love to name a habitat, a signature behavior, a body measurement, or an elemental gimmick, and any one of those can pin a species or its evolution line outright. When a clue is generic, use your early guesses to buy the next sentence rather than stabbing at a long shot, since one more line often supplies the detail that breaks the entry open. Watch for phrasing that fits a whole family, then split the stages apart by size.

What it teaches

Dexle rewards and deepens Pokédex lore literacy: tying habitats, behaviors, and signature quirks to the species they describe, and reading closely enough to tell nearly identical evolutionary relatives apart from a sentence or two of text.
