Odd One Out
Three share a trait, one doesn't. Spot the impostor.
Four Pokémon sit side by side, three quietly share a hidden trait, and you must call out the one that breaks it.
How Odd One Out works
Each round names a property and lines up four species: three genuinely hold it and one provably does not, checked against the real data so the odd pick is never a matter of opinion. In the standard game the trait is a shared type, a shared generation, or a move that the three can all learn. Switch on hardcore and the categories shift to shared ability, habitat, and Pokédex color while an eight second clock ticks on every question. After you choose, the true outlier lights up so each call teaches you something.
Strategy
Begin by naming the trait the three might share rather than judging each Pokémon in isolation. Read the prompt, test the obvious members against it, and let the one that fails announce itself, instead of scanning for whatever merely looks different. Move learnsets are the cruelest category because they hide behind perfectly familiar faces, so in those rounds recall which species actually gain the named move rather than trusting how they appear.
What it teaches
Odd One Out builds precise recall of shared attributes, especially the move learnsets and abilities that never show on a sprite, training you to verify a trait against memory instead of guessing from outward looks.
