Rayquordle
Guess the hidden Pokémon name — green, yellow, gray, six-ish tries.
Guess the hidden Pokémon name in six-ish tries, with green, yellow, and gray tiles guiding each attempt.
How Rayquordle works
The hidden Pokémon has a name between five and eight letters long. Every guess must be a real Pokémon name of exactly the same length. After each submission the tiles reveal how close you were: green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is somewhere in the name but in the wrong position, and gray means the letter does not appear at all. You get one extra try beyond the word length, so a five-letter name gives six attempts and an eight-letter name gives nine. A colour-coded on-screen keyboard tracks every letter you have tried. The daily puzzle gives everyone the same word and locks after one play; unlimited mode deals a fresh random name each round. A length helper can reveal every eligible name of the current word length if you get stuck.
Strategy
Open with a name that covers common Pokémon-name letters: vowels first, then frequent consonants like R, S, N, and L. Because the eligible pool is filtered to your active generation range, learning which lengths are common in each generation narrows the mental search space quickly. Use green tiles as anchors and treat yellow tiles as placement clues rather than confirmations, since a letter can still land elsewhere. On longer words the extra tries matter less than you think because more letters means more information per guess.
What it teaches
Rayquordle reinforces exact Pokémon spelling, trains pattern recognition from partial letter information, and builds awareness of which letters and letter combinations appear most in Pokémon names.
