Where's It From?
See a Pokémon, pick the region it debuted in.
A named Pokémon appears, and you choose which of the nine regions it originally hails from.
How Where's It From? works
You see a Pokémon, name and sprite together, and choose its home from a grid of nine regions: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea. Each region lines up with one generation, so a correct region is really a correct debut era dressed in geography. The same three formats are here: endless runs until one wrong pick, quiz packs ten questions with seven needed to pass, and timed counts your correct answers across sixty seconds. Two players can trade the device back and forth in pass-and-play for a head-to-head.
Strategy
Since every region maps to a generation, the debut-era instincts you build elsewhere carry straight over; only the labels change. Lean on the cultural design cues each region wears: Alola's tropical motifs, Galar's British flavor, Paldea's Iberian styling. When a Pokémon's look feels rooted in a real place, trust that read. Watch for regional forms, which belong to the region that reimagined them, not the one that first created the original creature.
What it teaches
Region play maps the franchise's world geography onto its roster, connecting each Pokémon to the setting it came from. You leave with a clearer sense of how each region's real-world inspiration shapes the look and theme of the Pokémon native to it.
