Scramble

Unscramble the shuffled letters to spell a Pokémon's name before three misses.

A Pokémon name, letters shuffled. Spell it back before three wrong tries end the run.

How Scramble works

Each round takes one Pokémon from your generation range whose name is a clean four to ten letters and deals those letters out of order, never in the original spelling. You tap the tiles, or type on a keyboard, to fill the answer slots one letter at a time, and a placed letter can be tapped again to send it back to the rack. The moment every slot is filled the attempt is judged: a correct spelling scores, catches the Pokémon for your dex, and deals a fresh name, while a wrong one shakes, clears the slots, and costs a miss. Three misses on the same name reveal the answer and end the run, and your score is the count of names you solved in a row.

Strategy

Start from the pieces names are built from rather than single letters. The dex leans hard on familiar chunks: saur, chu, eon, don, king, tar, so slide letters into likely clusters and see what the leftovers suggest. Letter counts are a strong tell too, since a doubled vowel or a rare letter like x or z narrows the field to a handful of species. When a spelling feels close but the last letters will not settle, stop and re-derive the name from the generation you filtered to instead of burning a miss on a coin flip.

What it teaches

Scramble drills the spelling layer of Pokémon knowledge, the exact letter-by-letter names rather than the vague shape of them, and tunes your ear for the naming patterns the franchise reuses across generations.
