Tips for guessing Pokémon
Most rayquizz modes reward the same handful of habits. Once these become second nature, the daily, the silhouettes, the stat puzzles, and the quizzes all get easier at once. Here is the advice that carries across the whole game.
Read the clues in the right order
In the guessing grid, numbers cut the field faster than anything else. Height, weight, and generation each split the dex into large chunks, so read the up and down arrows before you study the type cells. Two guesses that bracket a value, one too high and one too low, pin a narrow range you can work inside. Save the fuzzier clues, like colour and habitat, for breaking ties near the end.
Set the generation range you actually know
The generation filter is a strategy tool, not just a difficulty slider. Narrowing it to the eras you know well shrinks the pool and sharpens every clue, and it changes the rules to match: a range that ends before Generation 6 judges Clefairy as a Normal type, exactly as the old games did. Learn shapes, cries, and stat spreads
A lot of rayquizz is pattern recognition in disguise. Silhouettes reward reading body plans, wings, a long neck, a round blob, before you reach for a name. The cry challenge tunes your ear to pitch and length. Stat modes ask you to see a spread as a fingerprint: a tall Speed and Special Attack over thin Defense is a glass cannon, while a flat, bulky profile is a wall. Each of these is a separate sense you can train, and they reinforce each other.
Know when to rush and when to slow down
Match your pace to the format. Timed modes reward volume, so answer the ones you know on sight and do not agonise over a coin flip. Endless streak modes end on a single miss, so slow right down when two answers look equally likely.
